    1. This is my very favorite David Arnold book, and I LOVE Mosquitoland and Kids of Appetite He s a wordsmith who s outdone himself in THE STRANGE FASCINATIONS OF NOAH HYPNOTIK and I can t wait for you to sink into this world.

    2. To absolutely no one s surprise, I loved this book It s a bizarre, wild ride of a book, and I did not want it to stop I read it so slowly because I wanted to savor every last delicious word If I hadn t promised to let someone borrow my ARC, I would ve flipped right back to page one and started reading it again David has this wonderful talent of writing such strange but true to life characters that I feel like I know in real life The Strange Fascinations of Noah Hypnotik is weird and wonderful an [...]

    3. This is my favorite book by David Arnold This is such an ambitious, fun, delightfully weird book with a ton of heart a group of friends you d pretty much do anything to become part of their social group In other words, it s a David Arnold book. There s a lot to unpack and I look forward to doing so I feel like there s so much I could say but I don t know where to begin but I really enjoyed being in Noah s head and I loved how David explored what it means to be alone and what it means to be lonely [...]

    4. This book kinda sideswiped me with its ambition, daring, and brilliance The weirdo concept sounded too good to be true, but Arnold takes his wild idea and GOES FOR IT, balls to the wall, and spits you out the other side like, wtf just happened Let s do it again For a coherent take, please see a different review.

    5. This was absolutely stunning and I think this book is going to be huge Going to be reeling from this one for a long time.

    6. Everything about this I am excited about all of it Noah Hypnotik i m ready to meet you I really am I love David Arnold and I need this book one of my most highly anticipated releases of 2018, for sure.

    7. David Arnold the master of prose and pivot A wild, carefully written, well researched, ambitious, creative, and original piece of literary art, this book is a very fun read and is my favorite book of his so far A creative exploration of the theme of loneliness, when I read this book, I felt like I truly entered into the mind of Noah, a high schooler with reasoning and intellect ahead of his time a signature of Arnold What I loved about this book was that it allowed me to assume the life and pers [...]

    8. What happens when everyone around you has suddenly changed in subtle yet essential ways Where people have devoted their lives to one thing, but suddenly you ve landed in an alternate timeline your friend loves music instead of movies, another Marvel instead of DC, and your parents are obsessed with the wrong sitcom This is Noah s new life after a strange encounter at a party This wonderfully weird, magical realism sci fi book will hypnotize you into itself with its snort out loud humor and origi [...]

    9. Arnold s latest is a very cerebral novel full of Bowie and literary references and lots of snarky teen sarcasm Aren t the best YA novels From Arnold s distinctively smart writing to his new charismatic characters, NOAH HYPNOTIK is a pleasing blend of trippy plot themes and lots of heart A coming of age story unlike any other.

    10. Stayed up well past my bedtime to finish this one I m still playing around with my thoughts on it though it has the most ambitious ideas than Arnold s previous books, less probably happens, yet I m not convinced if that s good or bad quite yet I will say that the man has a knack for writing friendships I m going to have so much fun selling this as always.

    11. This book was kinda bizarre and strange at times But really solid In the end, everything came together and made sense And it s all about forgiveness Which the world needs of I m all about these really fun reads for teens having such positive messages

    12. Oh geez, this might be my first five star of 2018 Yup, I m doing it Five stars At the risk of giving too much away, this is Donnie Darko but funny and obsessed with Bowie This is layers on layers of coincidence and bizarrely overlapping facts This is hilarious texting conversations This is meta and insightful and also I think I might be a teenage boy on the inside because nothing speaks to me than a bunch of scornful, profane teens who KNOW the whole school charade is bullshit and just do their [...]

    13. An official cover of this book was revealed on Sep 9th and I only found out about it 18 days later One Of My Favorite Authors Revealed the cover of his new book and I Was Not There First thing to freak out about it in the most cringeworthy way I could think of JustI m ashamed of you, Past Me.

    14. The publisher offered me an advance reading copy of The Strange Fascinations of Noah Hypnotik Currently in progress, it offers an intriguing premise the protagonist, Noah, emerges from an attempted hypnosis to discover that details of the world around him have changed For example, his friend Alan was an avid collector of DC superhero comics books, but post hypnosis, Alan is a devotee of the Marvel universe Noah s parents owned the complete DVD set of the sitcom Friends now, apparently, they re o [...]
