Volume 3 of The Walking Dead might be the bleakest, bloodiest and most miserable in the series so far and the first two volumes were pretty damn miserable This is a book where the dead are dug out of their graves just to be shot in the head, and that s not even counting the butchered children or the suicide pacts So the group have made it to a prison which is infested with zombies but, once cleared, could be a safe haven for them Inside are a handful of remaining inmates but can these convicted [...]

Volume 2 concluded with the confrontation with Herschel and his family and the gang leaving with no food and no direction The final panel had them come across a prison.So I choose to call Volume 3 The Walking Dead in da Clink.There are lots of great ideas and themes brought forward in this issue The main thing is an exploration of criminality in the past compared to in the zombie apocalypse The prison is not quite deserted lots of zombies of course, but 4 prisoners have managed to survive Each t [...]

The group arrive at the prison and start to make a home there, and start to feel safe How can they be safe behind bars when the biggest threat there isn t the living dead, but the living dramatic music This issue is a bit of a turning point for the group In the first 2 issues, the group basically trusts anyone who comes along and gives them the benefit of the doubt By the end of Safety Behind Bars, they learn to not be so trusting with outsiders and start to develop some rules to their new life [...]

This was insane It was so action packed that it actually felt like an episode of TWD By far the best yet.

It s official comic book Lori is far annoying than tv Lori.And this was the best moment so far.

Summary and review of this volume All the disliked characters die, and I m completely ok with it.

I really liked this volume, the story arc shifts from the zombies and the fear of safety to the prison and the people as they take shelter behind bars to stay safe.This volume is so bloody and yet none of is is from zombies We see the group get emotional and raw as someone has been killing off their own We learn that you don t have to be bitten by a zombie to change, and we learn Rick and Lori have gone crazy cliche, man the mood swings were annoying at times as was their dialogue The whole grou [...]

Book 3, Safety Behind Bars, is the prison story arc including taking the prison and clearing it But, here s where it gets interesting most of this graphic novel is wildly different than the tv series and even where the plot lines were echoed, the twists are wildly different Much tension in the group here.

When I heard that The Walking Dead graphic novel series was in development for a series on AMC home of my absolute favorite, Breaking Bad I was elated Then reality sank in I was still stinging from what had been done to the Terry Gooodkind novel series, The Sword of Truth My mind spun, prompting me to dig out the series, wondering where the problems might occur No surprise, the volume that solidifies the series as truly great, the one that earns Robert Kirkman the title I alluded to in my review [...]

It was fun, it was quick but it wasn t anything special and it s not nearly as good as the tv show in my opinion I will for sure continue with this series, I m just not sure when I ll buy the next volume s.

Damn That was pretty fucked up.

In this edition, our survivors finally find shelter, food and safety within the walls of a prison But as the otside threat abates, inside tensions grow to a boiling point We lose some people in gruesome ways and this time it is not the zombies What did we become Who can we trust I am at the edge of my seat as I eat these up in succession ok kinda gross analogy

This was another great instalment of The Walking Dead One would think with these things being so short there would be little time for good story development That is far from the truth I really enjoyed this volume I will warn you it does end on a cliffhanger So when you finish it you will want to start the next one ASAP I am looking forward to seeing where things go from here.

Safety behind bars I don t think so.A lot of gruesome deaths here.A psycho is on the loose and the prisoners are suspects by default Lori gets annoying than ever Rick snaps at her and that made me smile.It s also hinted that everyone is in fact infected You die, you turn Getting bitten is not necessary.
